Alpha is an introductory course to Christianity. It is a nationally known course which invites people to ask THE big questions about life.

About Alpha:
The aim of Alpha is to discuss the basic principles of Christianity in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. Alpha's style is informal and discussion based, helping to make a non-threatening environment in which people unfamiliar with Christian topics feel relaxed and at home.

Alpha includes:
Alpha includes a short presentation of the topic for the evening, and then discussion based on the topic presented.
Alpha is held over an 8 week period and courses are held at least once a year. Alpha is usually held in a public venue in Ramsbottom and a supper is provided as part of the course.

The churches in Ramsbottom run an Alpha Course together about once a year. We currently have one at Christchurch, every Tuesday at 7.30.
